Printer Tools 2.8: Advanced Snapmaker U1 Controls, Bed Mesh, Print History & Timelapses
It has been a few versions since our last Snapmaker U1 update. Since version 2.1, Printer Tools has expanded with much deeper control over the printer, its files, materials and diagnostics.
🧵 Added Snapmaker U1 filament controls for colors, materials and toolheads
- Added support for picking and parking Snapmaker U1 toolheads
📊 New print history with statistics and filament usage chart
🗺️ Bed Mesh integrated into the Dashboard for Klipper and Snapmaker
📁 Improved file browsing, downloads and previews
- Improved thumbnails and previews for G-code, 3MF and timelapses
- Improvements for Bambu Lab, Snapmaker and Klipper files, previews and print status
🎬 Added Snapmaker timelapses, Config and Logs in Files
🌡️ Snapmaker fan control fully working with live updates
- New clearer and more consistent temperature dashboard
📷 Added Snapmaker U1 camera support with original firmware
⚙️ Added paxx12 firmware detection and compatible camera setup
- Improved camera editing and local printer setup
📱 Improved iPad experience with sidebar and two columns
- Live Activities with a preview of the model currently printing
- Better connection and streaming recovery when switching views
- Visual and stability improvements for dashboard, streaming and temperatures
Printer monitoring and built-in camera support are also available with the original firmware. Some advanced system and camera tools require compatible paxx12 firmware.
