# Printer Tools

> Printer Tools by FixoLab connects Bambu Lab, Klipper, OctoPrint, Creality, Snapmaker, Anycubic, Flashforge, Elegoo, and Prusa 3D printers from anywhere. The definitive cross-platform dashboard for your 3D printers

Printer Tools connects directly to compatible printers on the local network and can use an explicitly configured VPN or OctoEverywhere integration for remote access. It is an independent app and is not the official app of any printer manufacturer or remote-access provider

- Monitor printer state, print progress, layers, elapsed and remaining time, completion time, speed, position and temperatures
- Manage multiple printers from one app and switch between their dashboards and cameras
- Use printer controls for temperatures, movement, fans, lights and other supported actions
- View Bambu AMS, Creality CFS and Snapmaker U1 multi-toolhead filament information
- Browse compatible printer files and inspect G-code or 3MF previews, filament colors, bed type, nozzle diameter, layers, print settings and support information
- Review active, completed and cancelled prints, print statistics, filament consumption and timelapses on supported integrations
- Inspect interactive 3D Bed Mesh data on compatible Klipper and Snapmaker printers
- View built-in and external cameras, configure multiple feeds and recover automatically from interrupted streams
- Follow active prints through widgets, Live Activities, the Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, CarPlay, Apple Watch, Android notifications and Wear OS

## Snapmaker U1

- Original Snapmaker firmware supports monitoring, four-toolhead and filament management, printer controls, files, history, timelapses, Bed Mesh and the built-in camera
- Printer Tools is the only third-party app besides the official Snapmaker app that can access the U1 built-in camera while the printer uses the original firmware
- The optional paxx12 firmware supports all of the above and adds hardware-accelerated WebRTC, HTTP and RTSP camera feeds, remote viewing and control of the printer screen over HTTP, Fluidd or Mainsail access, firmware configuration and detailed system, network, CPU and eMMC information
- Compatible paxx12 camera feeds can be created automatically with one toggle when adding or editing the printer
- paxx12 is an independent custom-firmware project and is not required for the core Snapmaker U1 integration. Installation has technical and warranty implications that users should review in the [official paxx12 documentation](https://snapmakeru1-extended-firmware.pages.dev/)

## Prusa Link and remote access

- Printer Tools provides full native Prusa Link functionality on the local network and through a VPN
- Status, progress, model preview, speed, Z height, flow and the rest of the Prusa Link integration remain available remotely when the connection can reach Prusa Link
- Printer Tools is the only app that supports Prusa Link through OctoEverywhere with the same feature set as local or VPN access
- For other compatible printers, OctoEverywhere and VPN connections can also expose the same monitoring, controls, cameras, files, previews, Live Activities and notifications available locally
- OctoEverywhere is an independent company and service and may have its own account or plan requirements
